Graphische Sammlung (Graphic Art Collection)

The Graphic Art Collection of the City of Nuremberg, established in 1971, comprises about 80,000 works, mainly drawings and prints. It is the most comprehensive collection of illustration documenting Nuremberg's history and represents a meaningful supplement to the written documents kept in the City Archives. In addition to the print graphic works of Albrecht Dürer, the collection focuses on works illustrating topography and cultural history, portrait drawings and paintings.
