Museum Tucherschloss mit Hirsvogelsaal (Museum Tucher Mansion)

The world of the major Nuremberg trading families of the 16th century is brought to life again in the Museum Tucher Mansion, with valuable furniture and tapestries, a silver double goblet made by goldsmith Wenzel Jamnitzer, and paintings including a portrait of Hans VI Tucher, painted by Dürer's teacher Michael Wolgemut. The famous Hirsvogel Hall of 1534 found a new home in the adjacent garden. The interior of the hall with its ornate wood panelled walls by Peter Flötner, as well as the magnificent ceiling painting by Dürer's pupil Georg Pencz were lavishly restored.
