Südstadtladen  

The Cultural Corner Shop Südstadtladen in Steinheilstraße 7 was opened in September 1982, and since then has contributed much to the cultural life of the southern part of the city. The striking mural on its facade was created in 1997 by the Nuremberg artist Fredder Wanoth. The Südstadtladen promotes the interests of German and foreign residents of the city. It achieves its aims in various ways, for example with German classes for Turkish women, by co-ordinating a children's circus and the Südstadt Festival. The Südstadtladen has three spaces for events, a cafeteria and a group room.
