In 1987, the former screw manufacturing plant owned by entrepreneur Julius Tafel was converted into a theatre. Since then, Tafelhalle has staged a multi-faceted cultural programme with music, dance and theatre and has become THE venue for festivals, international guest appearances and the stage for the independent regional cultural scene.
