The freight centre in the port of Nuremberg is one of the most important transfer centres in Southern Germany. Nuremberg's export figure of 42 per cent is above the Federal German average. There is particularly dynamic growth in the trading activities with eastern central and eastern Europe. Favoured by its central and convenient location, Nuremberg has traditionally been a location for transport and logistics companies.
